The predominant service region for BMA CQ Rescue is regions between Townsville and St Lawrence, an area that stretches west to the Galilee Basin and includes the majority of the Bowen Basin and east to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.

Frequently BMA CQ Rescue conducts missions to Townsville when the need arises. These types of tasks generally involve seriously injured patients who require vital medical care which may not be available in Mackay or critically ill patients who need urgent transport from this region to Townsville.

BMA CQ Rescues services regional and remote communities north to Townsville, south to St Lawrence, west into the Bowen and Galilee basins, and more than 200km offshore to the edge of the Great Barrier Reef.
