Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an essential part of BMA CQ Rescue.

Our volunteers represent us across the region, covering the Bowen Basin, Whitsunday, Isaac and Mackay Regional Council areas. Our volunteers are invaluable to our lifesaving service helping us to deliver this service to those in need and raise vital funds. Some of our volunteer roles include collecting our donation boxes from supporting businesses in the area, attending presentations and giving their time for BMA CQ Rescue and third-party fundraising events.

Our service hosts a range of events throughout the year ranging from Emergency Service’s Day, the Beach to Gardens Charity Fun Run, Rescue Chopper Week and our exclusive gala fundraising dinner. Our volunteers are always greatly appreciated!

Volunteers can also assist with a range of fundraisers held by social groups, community organisations and businesses to benefit the rescue chopper service.

Some of these include the River 2 Reef Charity Ride and Battle of the Mines Rugby League Tournament. annual Christmas Charity Gift Wrapping Stall at Caneland Central and various charity golf days.

We are proud to have locals supporting our local service. If you’d like to meet some new people and help us make a difference in this community, register to become a BMA CQ Rescue volunteer.

We’d love to welcome you aboard!
