BOLLE SAFETY GLASSES FOCUS ON SUPPORT FOR REGION’S RESCUERS

A globally-respected eyewear brand is focusing on a new initiative and innovative range of safety glasses to help fund Central Queensland’s rescue helicopter service.

Bolle Safety designs, manufactures and distributes eyewear protection products made to specific application across various industries, including mining.

In a new and very unique local business partnership, Bolle Safety has committed to donating $10,000 in sponsorship to RACQ CQ Rescue and an additional $1 from the sale of every pair of customised ‘CQ Rescue Rush Plus’ safety glasses sold within the region.

The opportunity to market a new and innovative eyewear product and help continue to ensure the safety of workers, residents and visitors in Central Queensland by donating funds to the region’s rescue helicopter service just made good sense to the globally respected brand, Bolle Safety Territory Manager (North Queensland) Brett Rovelli said.

Bolle Safety was grateful to have an aeromedical service operating 24/7, 365 days a year to support the mining industry, communities and residents throughout Central and North Queensland, he said.

“We’re incredibly proud that Bolle Safety’s co-branding innovation technology will help provide additional funding for RACQ CQ Rescue to help support them to provide their vital and lifesaving service across the Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac regions,” Mr Rovelli said.

“Bollé is known for advanced design, creating trends and pushing industry boundaries and our new partnership with RACQ CQ Rescue is really an extension of this. This safety eyewear range allows people to look great wearing leading safety glasses and in turn, helps CQ Rescue be a lifeline when people really need it most.”

Production has already commenced and the Bolle Safety CQ Rescue Rush Plus glasses will be available from selected local PPE suppliers next month.

RACQ CQ Rescue CEO Ian Rowan said the community was indebted to new sponsors like Bolle Safety who had committed to helping fund a not-for-profit service which was absolutely vital to the sick and injured within Central and North Queensland.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have vital support from such a high-profile partner which will help ensure we can continue to have a world-class aeromedical helicopter service on our doorstep and available anywhere, anytime throughout Central Queensland,” Mr Rowan said.

“RACQ CQ Rescue is a vital part of emergency support for all workers in this region and it’s reassuring to know a globally-respected brand like Bolle appreciates the value of supporting our helicopter and that with their generous commitment, we can continue to provide our lifesaving service to anyone in a time of crisis,” he said.

“Without RACQ CQ Rescue, many lives would be lost or changed forever, and we welcome our newest partner who join a wonderful group of community-minded, safety-conscious organisations in support of RACQ CQ Rescue,” Mr Rowan said.
