BMA CQ Rescue HeliCore Collective is a great networking opportunity for local businesses, business people and other organisations who want to help us continue our lifesaving work. Throughout the year, HeliCore supporters attend a series of exclusive events hosted by BMA CQ Rescue.

We are seeking volunteers to assist in the execution of our November Christmas HeliCore Event. We will require assistance with the set-up of the event (during the day of the event - Thursday 21st of November) and with serving food and drinks (during the event) to our HeliCore collective supporters.

The 2024 CQ Rescue Fun Run invites participants to experience breathtaking routes along the Bluewater Trail, extending to Iluka Park. This event aims to raise essential funds supporting CQ Rescue.

Participants can choose from a range of picturesque routes - 5km or 10km - winding along the scenic Bluewater Trail in Mackay’s tropical setting. These diverse race options, all starting and ending at Iluka Park, aim to raise crucial funds in support of your local helicopter rescue service.

RACQ CQ Rescue’s Volunteer Appreciation Evening

RACQ CQ Rescue Emergency Services Day, proudly presented by BMA, is a fun and educational community event, open to all residents of Mackay, Sarina and surrounding communities. It is designed to showcase both the region’s emergency services and community groups that help in a time of need and to promote effective emergency and disaster relief plans.

Shift 1 - 8 am until 12 pm

Shift 2 - 12 pm until 3 pm

Our May Bunnings Sausage Sizzle will be held on Friday 10th May at Bunnings Paget.

CQ Rescue have been successful in locking in a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle to help our fundraising in 2023!

We are currently looking for a few volunteers that can donate their time from 11am to approx. 3pm in cooking and selling sausages to the community at Bunnings Paget.

Mackay and the Whitsundays’ BMA River 2 Reef Ride Ride Festival is back again in 2023. The annual charity ride is in its 13th year, raising funds for local not-for-profits: RACQ CQ Rescue and Disabled Sport & Rec Mackay.

We need volunteers to man the turnaround point at Habana as well as be observers on the course. If you can volunteer a couple of hours on Sunday morning, we will take care of registering you with the organisers!

Homebush State School’s major fundraiser for 2023 will be the Homebush Hoedown! A good old-fashioned country fair with rides, a variety of stalls and entertainment. As the sun sets, the Hoedown will kick off with live music, food stalls and a spectacular show of fireworks.

CQ Rescue has been invited to attend and collect donations at the gate for a few hours.

We are currently looking for 2 volunteers that can donate their time from 4pm to approx. 7pm to collect donations as patrons arrive.
